We will NEVER forget!

Several days after September 11, 2001, Dave photographed the flagpole in his yard.  His oldest son was then serving in the United States Marine Corps.  This image has been on our website Home Page ever since.

As a result of hundreds of customer inquiries over the past few years, and especially for the benefit of new telephone collectors, we have expanded our website to include more historical and technical information about the various Western Electric telephones and accessories we offer.  Much of this information on our website was gleaned from over forty-five years of inquiry and empirical observation, as well as from some excellent publications we cite below:
Desk Telephones of the Bell System (1993), by Dr. Lawrence Wolff
From the Far Corners of the Earth (1939), published by Western Electric
100 Years of Bell Telephones (1995), by Richard Mountjoy
Western Electric Telephone Apparatus and Supplies Catalog No. 3 (1916)
Western Electric Telephone Apparatus and Supplies Catalog No. 7 (1929)
Western Electric Telephone Apparatus and Cable 1930-31 Edition (1930)
Western Electric Telephone Apparatus and Cable Catalog No. 9 (1935)
Western Electric Telephone Apparatus and Cable Catalog No. 10 (1939)
Western Electric Telephone Apparatus and Cable Catalog No. 11 (1950)
and numerous Bell System Practices and related bulletins

From those who would like to learn more about Western Electric telephones, we highly recommend both Mr. Mountjoy's and Dr. Wolff's execellent and well-researched books.  Dr. Wolff's book is available through the Antique Telephone Collectors Association (www.atcaonline.com).  Mr. Mountjoy's book may be obtained through Phoneco, Inc., of Galesville, Wisconsin (www.phonecoinc.com).
Wistful Vista Telephone Co. ® telephones look and work like they just came from the factory.  Still, customers are advised that the original telephones we sell are old - some of them over 100 years old. Over the years, some have acquired minor imperfections in the metal and/or bakelite surfaces, which will not detract from their functionality, beauty, or collector value.  However, original bakelite and thermoplastic surfaces will be free of cracks, chips and significant gouges.   The availability and prices of all items listed on this website are subject to change without notice.
